Chapter 7: 'Faced Against God'

After months of being kept as a foot-pet by the Miss Fortunes, Rei finally paid off his debt with his body and was allowed to run free. He quickly made his way back to Jubilife Village, grasping onto what little semblance of duty and dignity he had left.

Upon his return, he noticed the Galaxy Team Headquarters demolished and people like Kamado and Cyllene were looking a lot worse for wear on the streets. They mentioned that one of the Gingko Guild Members had forcefully taken over the town and looks to control time and space itself.

Rei asked where his counterpart Akari had been all this time in which Cyllene regretfully pointed towards an old pair of socks lying on the side, a small pile of dust resembling a tiny body lay within them.  Rei understood and knew that he was on his own for this last mission.

Rei hurriedly made his way to the Temple of Sinnoh, highly doubtful of whether can prevent what is to come, but he couldn't just sit by and do nothing. It was then when he came face to face with Wielder Volo, whom had already ascended and inherited the powers of Arceus.

Volo laughed at Rei with his pitiful low level Pokemon. Rei wouldn't even be able to put up a fighting chance and certainly wasn't worthy of a proper battle with Volo. A quick back strike was all it took to take down the ex-Survey Corps member. 

Volo then pinned down Rei with his feet and began to torture the poor tiny, knowing full well that the tiny could not and will not do anything to stop him.

After subjecting Rei to an arduous afternoon of footplay, the tiny looked exceptionally drained and unable to resist. Volo fondly looked down at the tiny Rei and considered; he would have much to do now and Rei would make a very suitable foot pet for the hardships to come. 

Rei was then granted immortality by the now omnipotent Volo and would spend an eternity by his side as a personal foot cleaner, as Volo looked to usher in a new dawn for Hisui which would impact the future for generations to come.
