It's me.

How is the New Year going for all of humanity?

I went clothes shopping for the first time in a while.

It had been so long that I didn't know how to choose clothes.

I guess it's because I usually spend most of my time in jerseys!

In next week's update, we will release Riginetta's Adventure ver1.3.401 (fixed bugs).

Bugs to be fixed

1. Fixed a bug that caused Arlaune's animation to be incorrect in some costumes.

2. Fixed a typo in the Japanese text when obtaining boots.

I didn't notice the text when getting boots at all because I was only paying attention to the place names.

I must not have my vision too narrow!

I think everything is fine except for the Japanese version.

Also, the update for the production version is scheduled for late January.

Keep looking forward to it!

Now, we have begun to create a full-fledged roguelike.

This may be a phenomenon peculiar to the early stages of development, but I'm really enjoying this situation where anything I do takes shape.

I would like to look back on how much development progressed during the year-end and New Year holidays.

With the previous method of dungeon refinement, large rooms were sometimes separated from each other.

So you prevented the separation by prioritizing the joining method of the passageways to the larger rooms.

(Explanation that I don't understand well)

Thanks to the development throughout the New Year, I was able to create a nice mini-map.

I am happy to say that the process turned out to be lighter than I expected.

Even the waterways are done.

If we've made it this far, it's as good as done! (That's not true.)

At last, I have descended into the dungeon.

Take a good look. There I am. I'm here.

Now all you have to do is to move me!

Well, I think it will be very difficult to start making enemy AI and so on.

Sorry I couldn't translate it into English for my hand-drawn notes!

When 4 passages are generated, if there is a bias on either side, it is like deleting the biased passage.

The dungeon fragmentation problem again! Here is my personal solution to the problem.

I've tested dungeon generation about 1000 times, and this is a very rare glitch that has only occurred once.

I understood the logic behind it when it occurred, so I fixed it, but I still don't know if it is really fixed or not, since the same case has not occurred since then....

For the time being, I would like to announce the development status of the project, show the progress of the manga I have asked the artist to create, and if possible, I would like to draw pictures myself.

I would be very much encouraged if you like and support this modest accumulation of work.

Less than a week remains until the crowdfunding ends.

If you are interested, please take this opportunity!

have you read Spelunky by Derek Yu? It might give some insight on creating a roguelike game

Rignetta

I have never read it. It seems to be an English book, so I wonder if I should play the game of the same name? I am trying to make it based on my experience playing the Japanese roguelike classic "Shiren the Wanderer".
