It's me.

December is half over. It's cold!

Today, I'd like to talk about the next project & the early development version.

The title image is a picture of the planning stage that I have published before.

When I drew this, I was planning to go with an RPG with an encounter style.

I wasn't sure if I could make a roguelike, and I wasn't sure if I could incorporate roguelike gameplay into an echigo-chi game.

But I wanted to develop a roguelike that would expand the range of playability, so I made a test version of the game at the beginning of December.

I had thought about auto-generated dungeons for roguelikes several times, and articles on the web seemed to agree with my ideas.

Roughly speaking, I imagined dividing a map into sections by dividing it with lines, etc. → creating rooms in the divided sections → extending passages from the rooms → connecting unconnected passages to each other.

At this point, the shape of the dungeon is complete.

Slime and jellyfish are placed to determine if the upper left and lower right of the divided area are correct.

I have created a room and extended a passage to the division line.

It is hard to see because of the white color, but I connect the passageways that stop at the same division line.

Rooms are colored green to determine if they are built correctly.

Replacing the map chips by the walls makes it look like a dungeon at once.

It just so happens that there is a room with only one square, and it looks like an undulating passage, so I left it as a specification.

The way the passageways were connected to each other was a pattern, so I decided to make it more playful.

Once this was done, the dungeon was created automatically, which was a good thing.

However, if the height of the walls is set to 2 squares, the flexibility of dungeon creation will be reduced, which may not be a good thing!

... So that's the status report on our new work.

I would like to make it playable as soon as possible, so I will be working on it behind the scenes in parallel with app development.

It is also fun to develop games in between game development.

I want to keep it light, so I'm thinking that the development period will be about a year. Maybe.

More motivation for development! I would be very happy if you like, comment, or support this project because it will lead to the development of the game.

Next week, I'll talk about the pictures I got drawn, the pictures I drew, and the game update.

I will probably be able to update the game at the end of the year as scheduled if I don't collapse from overwork.

Lastly, I would like to advertise.

I'm crowdfunding for garage kits! If you're interested, please don't hesitate to join!
