We are getting close to reaching the 1000€ goal. When we manage to reach it, we will have the productivity I estimated so that I can keep the 3 years until v1.0 time schedule. Until now, I am spending all money back into the game.

Post that I would like to start hitting my own dopamine buttons in my head and start taking some money home... Or at least recoup my personal investments because I usually can't wait to already spend money on the next goal before it's fully reached. :D :D :D

Going forward, I plan to organize the budgeting on the game by organizing the goals in 500€ segments. 400€ I will pocket for myself and 100€ will be used to increase the project budget.

And I would like to guide this spending increase using polls. Please give me your opinions on where she should increase spending! Options marked with * already have already have some budget allocated to them.

If you have other ideas on what we should increase spending on, please write it down in the comments! I will include it in the next poll. The poll will be ongoing until we reach the budget goal I guess.

Descriptions:

  • Mapper: More high quality maps.
  • Editor: Improved dialogue, better use of the english language, compacting dialogue.
  • Writer: Would strongly depend. Could be more lewd scenes or maybe just dialogue for lots of NPCs giving more world building.
  • RPGMaker Developer: More technical improvements. Could evaluate useful scripts, offload some work for improving code quality to reduce bugs.  Could help in making empty maps come more alive.
  • Quest Designer: More minor quests.
  • Second Artist: Would need to find someone who can well imitate Emubi's style, which would take some time. But we could then offload creation of minor variations such as minor pose changes or minor H-CG variations.
  • Pixel Artist: Could edit the tileset for even nicer maps. Create some custom enemies. Create custom sprites RPGM sprites for example for Aura and Alicia to make the character protraits match better.
  • Composer/Musician: Could replace many RPGM soundtracks with lots of custom soundtracks.
  • SFX Designer: Not sure if this is really a thing actually, but we could have someone create more fitting sound effects for dialogue, lewd scenes, etc.

For faster content production I would recommend voting RPGM Dev/Writer/Quest Designer/Second Artist. I could then offload lesser important technical work/writing/quest design and focus more on writing main content. Same deal with offloading some minor work from Emubi to the second artist.

For increasing quality of existing content, I would recommend voting Mapper/Editor/Pixel Artist/Composer/SFX Designer to improve the type of content they are respectively associated with.

Where's the option that says "Do whatever you think is best."

I don't know what some of those would mean in practical terms, e.g. an editor or developer. And what would another writer be doing? Or a second artist? And what about the pixel artist, would that mean sprite sex? Anyway, I'm happy with the gameplay so far and consider aesthetics to be less important than the characters and gameplay, so I'll say "whatever is most time-efficient to put out bigger updates with the same level of quality".

Sorry! Right sometimes forget to communicate these kind of things! I added descriptions about what be possible with the different options. Sprite sex wouldn't be a focus for a pixel artist.
