From Chris: Fascinating documentary about the music scene which arose out of  Brooklyn in the early 2000s, focusing on big name acts like the Strokes,  Interpol, LCD Soundsystem and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Indie bands shooting  to fame and dealing with the struggles of stardom and drug abuse, among  other things. The difference here is that certain members of the bands  clearly had some input into the doc,so it's probably a one-sided view of  certain things.

Mostly took this one  since I do like the Strokes' first album, who struggled with the  pressures of the music press claiming they were Rock's  saviors...unfortunately they were Rock's last gasp before the genre as a  mainstream commercial force died in the 2010s.

As  you'll see, the entire doc is grainy and blurry SD footage, mostly  amateur video footage from the early 2000s before HD. Even the stuff  you'd think they find better sources, like the MTV clips, look like VHS  footage. Interestingly enough, no talking head interviews are used and I  think that decision worked out pretty well.
