From Chris: Absolutely delightful documentary about Brian Wilson and his music  for the Beach Boys, fully authorized by his family. I am a gigantic  Beach Boys fan - owning everything they ever recorded during the 60s and  70s. Wilson is a musical genius on par with Bach, Mozart, Schubert,  Gershwin, Dylan and other towering musicians. Give Pet Sounds a listen  some time.

Rolling Stone writer Jason Fine  drives Brian Wilson around his old haunts in LA as they listen to Beach  Boys music. Wilson isn't quite senile but the decades of alcohol, drug  and mental problems have taken their toll on his recall. He wrote  California Girls a week after he took his first acid trip.

Loads  of famous industry faces like Elton John and Bruce Springsteen pop up,  offering their opinions on Wilson's music. One of the best moments is  Brian Wilson hearing his deceased brother Dennis Wilson's '70s album  Pacific Ocean Blue for the first time, what many insiders consider a  lost classic. In Brian's cocaine haze of the 1970s, he had apparently  missed hearing it.
