From Chris: Imprint has a slick slipcase and exclusive special features not  found on the barebones Universal disc. Likely same A/V quality.

The  good news is that Imprint's BD is region free and everything plays on  my Region A player. It's a neat, little suspense thriller from the 1960s  starring a young Ann-Margret as a teen delinquent who coerces and then  blackmails John Forsythe's married character. A little raunchy for its  era with sexual innuendo but almost wholesome by today's more permissive  standards. I can only imagine how the pulp action would be reinvented  for today's audiences.

A bit kitsch but  Forysthe is perfect for the role while Ann-Margret's magnetic presence  overcomes her so-so acting abilities. Not a subtle performance, the  mostly clever screenplay has her alternating between sex kitten and  vulnerable girl. On a side note, I'm a fan of Ann-Margret's music career  which doesn't play a role here. She ended up embarrassed by this movie  and thought it hurt her acting career down the line.

Imprint  does a nice job with the special features and packaging, while the  B&W film transfer likely made by Universal themselves is  satisfactory from decent elements. The grain structure is a bit heavy  but other than a touch of ringing it's an unfiltered job.
