From Chris: Gorgeous transfer which extracts everything possible from Ang Lee's  masterful Jane Austen adaptation. A slight trace of remnant ringing but  otherwise an HDR grading with impeccable tonality, emphasizing the  scenic English countryside. I'll let you in on a little secret if you  don't tell anyone - I have a soft spot for Jane Austen films and this  may very well be the best Hollywood adaptation of them all.

Alan  Rickman is the film's unsung hero, an awesomely low-key performance. He  really was a fantastic actor. Hugh Grant lets his own idiosyncratic  mannerisms creep into his performance. Those Hugh Grantisms are fine in  the dopey romcoms he usually headlines but stick out in a period piece.  Fortunately his character isn't on screen for a lot of the movie.

I  really wish Sony hadn't bundled all these movies into an overpriced box  set. I'm sure they'll eventually release them individually but the UHD  market doesn't need that type of release strategy with physical media on  the ropes.
