NTR Quest 28 - Academy - Experiment on Yourself (Patreon)

For all of your faults and selfishness so far, despite the fact that you desperately want to test everything you see, you could not bring yourself to use any of your close friends. Serane was perhaps an obvious option if she were around still, or any number of familiars. If you were less focused on wanting to know what it all did you could simply ignore the room all together and move on. But you could not. Since you did not consider any of the girls, even Merit as compromised as she was, the only other option was yourself. It could be construed as selfishness but not truly, because in reality it was just as likely to do something quite bad to you. More likely than not based on all the circumstances you have been in and seen.
There were just a few things that stood out to you, logically, which suggested otherwise. For one, transformation into one of those moving 'statues' seemed automatic and did not require so much circumstance as to use any of the devices in the room. So why would something exist that did the same thing with more steps? There was the fact that the one machine melted down captured parts. For what purpose you weren't completely sure yet, but one observation you could make was that the pod and the stomach-like thing were different and connected. If they both performed the same function why would they feed into each other through the strange root-like structures running through the walls. The last, most questionable thing was the strange fluid inside of the imposing-looking injector. There was almost no telling what it did or why it was still here. You were probably the first ones to visit this room in tact in who knows how long, so there was that.
As you were contemplating what to do, Esther shouted out. “I did it! I deactivated the portal!” You rushed over to see Serane's head rapidly disappearing through an expanding ring, whether she wanted it to or not. You reasonably thought that if the connection was severed her head was going to appear within that hood again on her own body, for better or for worse. You waited a few seconds.
“That...” You rubbed your chin.
“Maybe we should've thought about that more.”
Esther looked up. “Regardless of what happens, I doubt she wanted to be a head all her life, anyway. Besides, it's what she wanted.”
“How did you deactivate the portal?”
“They're like the ones I use.” Esther said simply.
“Really? So is this place full of Goblin artifice?”
She shook her head. “No. We don't create the portal rings, we just adjust them. They're artifacts. Not super rare ones, mind you, but still pretty expensive and difficult to maintain.”
You glanced back at the pile of rings. “If more places like this exist, I could get why you'd find them.” You paused to think.
“So... Where do you think she went? Is she just back in the hall? She'll have no way to get back to us, right?”
Esther lifted a brow. “She's seen the room so she can use folded space within the halls to get here if she's conscious.”
Aiden chimed in. “The downside is, if she isn't herself and the statue now has the knowledge, she could possibly lead herself and other statues here to attack us and we'd be trapped.”
“Something you should've warned us about beforehand.” You criticize.
“I did!” he complains.
“Both the Nurse and Esther kept making fun of me!” You looked down at Esther to confirm. She shrugged.
“If he didn't wanna get made fun of he shouldn't have such a high-pitched, mock-able voice.” Aiden pursed his lips. Unbeknownst to the Goblin, the voice was a very intentional feature that he adopted upon your request
Everyone turned as the sound of heavy tapping was heard from the darkness of the hall. Something they did not fully appreciate when running for their lives was how much the Statues movements sounded like stilettos on a stone floor. One of the statues appeared from the shadows and moved with a similar gait to all the others. They moved very femininely, but with a predatory tint to how they swung their hips and stepped. Despite looking as though they should be somewhat stiff the skeleton portion showed so much slight, complex movement as though it was alive. This was not unique, it was simply another thing they did not have time to fully take in. When the woman walked closer, as each of you stared cautiously at her, she looked around in a way that was very much not like the statues. They barely moved their hood-like heads. Instead the eye would search and move independently. When you looked closer, the eye on the things hood was drooping, as though belonging to a corpse.
You cringed as the metal hands reached up. Fine digits were able to poke into the seams on the edge of the eye while the power behind them that you had seen before allowed them to tear it apart easily. It actually leaked, or possibly bled as the torn hood was tossed aside. It revealed Serane, but not quite Serane. Her features were all there. She looked similar but her face had become the same material as her body. Even her hair was the same material and looked somewhat solid. She was dripping with the odd fluid that leaked from the hood.
“Don't worry. It is actually me.” She announced.
You approached her cautiously. “Prove it?”
She looked you in the eyes. “Do you want me to repeat how our first meeting w-”
“No no. It's fine. I think she is real.” You announced.
“Quite an unfun fact. The inside of that hood is filled with fluid... When my head entered into that space I could not help but inhale and drown. My skin burned briefly and it felt as though something was pushing into my ears and nose and eyes but thankfully it was all over quickly. How do I look?”
You gulped and reached out, waiting. There was a silence and a pause. “Mirror! Who has a mirror?” They stared at each other. Aiden blushed and was the first to relent and hand over a little hand-mirror to you.
“Thank you.” You held it up so Serane could see. Her eyes widened. Within them they were the same solid material as the rest of her body. She opened her mouth. It was all the same. Her tongue, her teeth and even her hair was the same as though carved from a block of stone and smoothed.
“Well then...” She sounded stunned.
“Do you feel any different?”
“Yes.” She responded quickly.
“I feel like I am in the best shape I have ever been in. I do not feel my wings but I do not feel any aches or pain either. At the same time I can feel other things that I WOULD have missed.” She casually reached up and cupped her breasts. The jiggled subtly in her hands when lifted, then fell when they were dropped.
“Not hard? The bodies felt incredibly hard when I hit them.”
“Feel.” She offered.
You obliged and reached forward. Your hand rand up her stomach and pressed into it. Her body was soft and even a little lifelike. You felt her breasts and they had the same type of feel you would have expected. Softness, give with enough elasticity that the retained shape when you pulled your hand away.
“This doesn't make a lot of sense. Did your body itself go back to normal?”
“No... I think it's something else.” She suddenly struck herself, sending a loud snap through the whole room like a whip as she struck her breast. When she struck it it looked solid, but when she held them they simply looked and felt like real breasts. She pulled on her lip as well and moved her tongue dexterously.
“This material... It becomes hard when force is applied but remains soft otherwise. It is far more advanced than anything I could imagine. I don't feel magic from it, yet it could only be because of that I should think.”
“No magic?”
“Maybe some we do not understand, yet.” She offered evenly.
“But not everything can be explained away with magic.”
“So what do you think all of this is? Is it related?” You motioned out towards the room. Serane stepped inside and wandered around now that she had more free reign over her own movements.
“When someone is processed into one of those defense mechanism statues their arms, legs and head are brought here, because I would assume those parts aren't needed. She pointed to the belt and a thing that held several more rings. It was running out but looked like it could hold hundreds.
“Why?” You questioned.
She thought for a moment. “The only thing I could think of is, when the statues supplanted my Core, I was still sharing it. No matter how slight that is, it creates a Core Incongruence, as part of it is still attached to my original parts. Which would mean...” She slapped the stomach.
“This thing not only melts down the parts but disconnects them from whatever parts of the core they retain some connection to. That frees the statue completely and forms it into a new entity entirely.
“What about these other pieces?”
She approached the lab desks and observed the injection device carefully. “Interesting.”
“What?”
“I have no idea what this is... Which is saying something. It is safe to say however that given the purpose of this rooms few implements I've seen so far, it must concern Cores... Destruction... Transformation.” She was not quite sure. The easy answer you wanted was not with her.
“What happens if you inject it?”
“Oh, I think something very bad would happen.” She claimed. Your heart sunk.
“Because this thing looks to be fully depressed, meaning it is not an injector but an extractor.”
Your eyes widened. “But there's fluid.”
Serane smiled brightly. It was eerie, given her new form with blank eyes. “Exactly.” Despite how blank those eyes were they somehow still visibly lit up as she asked with a widening grin.
“So whom are we testing this on?”
“Me.” You stepped forward. Serane looked surprised, as did the rest of the group.
“Waitaminute!” Esther sputtered.
“You can't just use something you found lying around in a lab!”
“I want to, though, and I don't want to use it on any of you.” As you explained that they seemed touched. Esther was, at least. Some part of her respected it due to her similar nature to Serane. Aiden frowned. Merit tilted her head and was more confused than any of them.
“Well, if you insist.” Serane hastily plunged the needle into your shoulder and pulled the plunger. It hurt. A lot. Thankfully the pain did not last long. Instead it was replaced with a far worse feeling. It was like every fiber of your being was being pulled towards the needle. It was being sucked out. You looked down and lost feeling on your opposite side first, but it was not as simple as that. When you looked down at those arms and legs you felt a mental disconnect like those parts weren't yours. They were different. Then slowly that feeling extended to the rest of your body. Your sight and smell failed and all you were left with was a vague awareness surrounding the full plunger that Serane held. You could 'see' without seeing. The room. The body that used to be yours slumped over.
“Amazing... His core was drawn entirely into this container unharmed. Something so complicated done so easily... I have no clue how to replicate this result.”
“Y-you mean unharmed for real, right?” Aiden warned.
“Of course. If this is injected it will return and I presume no harm will be done. But it could also be injected into other bodies.”
“You presume?” Esther offered skeptically.
“What do you mean other bodies?”
She wandered back over to the stomach and inspected the panel with shining stones lined up neatly beneath another.
“I recognize this. Parts of it. This isn't random, it's language. Different to ours, but that means there is some logic and consistency to it, in theory.” She began pressing the stones. They lit up each time they were pressed and they darkened each time after being pressed again. Finally, through trial and error of pressing different sequences the main stone lit up and formed an airy, magic-like image over it. It was a body surrounding a skeleton that looked similarly to the one in the pod.
“Hmm. This looks human.” She tried a few more buttons. One combination changed the shape of the body to female. She smiled and left that to press more sequences. Gradually she found a way to cycle through many different bodies. She grinned madly.
“What does this MEAN? Beastfolk, many different types... Orc, Human, Incarnates and...” She stopped on one in particular.
“S-seraph...”
“What is it?” Esther questioned. She hopped up and down.
“I can't see.”
In a low voice the Seraph explained. “Looks as though it is creating empty vessels. Copies using 'materials.' Why? I do not know. But... Isn't this strange?”
“I can't SEE.” Esther retorted.
“I don't know what any of this means... Can we please just make sure he's okay?” Aiden offered in your favor.
She pressed a few more buttons. The 'roots' came to life and began sucking material from the stomach. Within the pod a body of a female Seraph was formed with wings and all around the skeleton. It looked indistinguishable from an actual member of the species. She seemed a bit upset to the others.
“It seems the... Injector can now be used to inject the core information into the 'blank.' Maybe.”
“Amazing!” Esther clapped.
“Does this mean once our good friend is in a new body you can be placed in one as well by the same means?” Merit asked astutely.
“No.” Serane said through gritted teeth.
“Perhaps if I had known how good of a thing this was I could have volunteered. I suppose 'fortune' favors the bold, no? I would never have done this to myself without knowledge of what it did.” She switched tone quickly and smiled very sweetly.
“Well, without his input since he is predisposed...” She held up the plunger.
“What do you all believe he would want to be most? We have literally all the options except... Elf for some reason.”
“Hmm.” A slight chuckle and a faint hint of malice that only you would understand crept into Merit's smile.
“I think he wants to be a woman. Any type of woman would do.”
“Oh, interesting. Okay? Anyone else? How about a Seraph like me?” Serane seemed like she would have just gone along with it.
“No no no.” Esther corrected. He doesn't want to be a woman, though... She looked like she was imagining what it would be like to have a big mommy dom her.
“No...” She decided.
“I do think he'd want to basically just be himself again. Maybe just a little stronger and better?”
“I agree.” Aiden nodded.
“He's overtly masculine and showed no signs to me that he prefers a female body. Though...” He bit his lip.
“Is dragon on there?”
“No.” Serane chuckled.
“Why?”
“N-no reason!” Aiden insisted.
She sighed. “Looks like it's human... What a waste... I suppose we may as well just place him back in his own body and avoid any strangeness. Merit was outvoted, so the answer, thankfully for you, was a definitive yes. You felt awareness and a connection to yourself return as the contents of the plunger, including the strange, thick pink liquid, entered your body in it's entirety. Serane held the empty plunger and stared longingly as the empty Seraph body while you got used to moving again. You felt a bit stronger and more sturdy than before but otherwise no different.
“Are you okay?” You asked.
“It's my fault. My recklessness. Perhaps.. I need to change the way I act? I could have performed more tests and found out what the fluid was. It could have saved me from this.” She motioned towards herself. Her nugget body stuck within a sleek metal frame.
“Come with me.” You took her metal hand and dragged her out into the hall.
* *
“I-I feel like a fucktoy!” She moaned as she rode you in the hall. You had made some distance from the room. Enough to not be heard. You reached up and groped her tits aggressively.
“You are a fucktoy!” You gasped. She was tight and wet and far warmer on the inside than a cold statue had any right being.
“Th- that isn't funny.” She panted. Though it was her torso riding you, her metal frame was doing all the work. The woman gulped. Her neck actually moved, whether it was an imitation or actual action.
“I feel such a disconnect between who I was and who I- What I am right now. Staring down at that Seraph body put into perspective just how different I am.” She frowned deeply despite gushing a bit as her cunt tightened and twitched around your member. She still felt pleasure quite well, apparently.
“Doing this... I thought it would make me feel like I am still me. Still alive, but-”
“But what?”
She stared down at you, blank eyes begging for affirmation. “What do you think? Really.”
