14:30 the moments you're talking about are usually called "sakuga moments". Sakuga in Japanese just means like "drawing pictures" but the term has come to mean parts of a movie or episode where the artists just went absolutely all in. They put the entire budget into that moment. More frames, more detail, using the best artists. A lot of animation is actually kind of "cheats" because if you drew everything all the time it would take forever to do an episode - for instance when people talk it's usually just the mouth that moves. Sakuga moments are when the animators dont take those shortcuts.

Frederica's power is to see the present and past of people that she knows. I think it was mentioned only once in EP 13. Thats why she was able to see Shin during the battle and his expression reminded her of her knight Kiriya, who slowly went insane due to constant battle and all the people he lost (she talked about this in the previous episode). There was also a little reference to her power in Ep14, before Shin put the heavily wounded Eugene out of his misery. He was talking to Frederica over the para raid and told her to close her "eyes". A lot of stuff that first time watchers of 86 wonder about is actually explained, but sometimes only once, so when watching only 1 EP per week it might be difficult to remember everything. I binged this so it was much easier to follow. But even then, unless you make notes or analyze each episode, there are a lot of little hints and symbolism that you wont notice until a second watch of the show.

Not being aware of her ability might also make her seem more awkwardly placed in the military facilities with the other cast. She does have actual combat utility. The military doesn't force her to ofc but she's choosing to go to help find her knight.

Such an action packed episode and the music went well with these scenes!

About time there was some full scale battle. The sound design does such a good job capturing that chaos. And another amazing Sawano drop hitting for Shin fighting like a mad man. Those pieces are just composed so masterfully to make scenes like that stand out again and again and again Cool shot showing Shin's head reflecting in the puddle but Frederica being too short so she's not in there. Shot right after showing Shin's headless logo and his brother's right after is also really cool. I'm completely guessing, but it looks like to me a shot may have gone through Shin's reaper and hit his brother's reaper, stopping it from hurting Shin himself. Hadn't noticed that before but that stood out this time After a long while, we're finally back to the episode title drop leading into a point of view/time shift. As bad of a person Lena's uncle is, "It's time for you to be crushed" really hits me. It comes off threatening but it's really his way of saying "It's time for me to do my job and protect you for the last time". And of course just after I was thinking about how good the Sawano drops are, another amazing one happens for Lena's speech. Nothing to say but it's simply perfect.
