“Lucky for you I’m not a gentleman” that had me laughing

Jet Man

Johnny Yong Bosch is the voice of Lelouch and his voice gets around in a lot of media. It would not be surprising if you had heard his voice before. The guy used to be a power ranger. We also got introduced to Cornelia this episode (the one on the thumbnail). She is voiced by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, another distinguished voice actor. My favorite character role she took was that of the Major in the English dub for Ghost in the Shell. As for the minor cast... yeah, not the best-selling performance you might expect.

Highside

Man, I don't remember the dub being this...interesting.

Alexander123

Interesting is A nice way to say it 😬 I mean it gets better what I remember

Helpy

I certainly remember and tried to warn 😭

The cringey dialogue is a big reason why people avoid dubs, in a lot of spots the delivery feels wrong and the lack of quality cast members for side character is very apparent. Also in general I feel like its a good idea to consume media in its original language as stuff can get lost in translation and you can miss on some iconic lines. (I am also not native english speaker and always appreciate subs to help me follow) Anyway stuff keeps getting heated with plot twists, this anime keeps getting better.

Here the things tho it also depends on the casting Dragon ball Z dub is good, Sword art online, Attack on Titans, Hunter X Hunter, Death Note, Full Metal Alchemist, Your Lie April ect There many anime where there dub is terrible but there others where there good with this it gets better what I remember

You are gonna see a lot of pizza in this show. If I am not wrong, the show was sponsored by Pizza Hut. C2 is the best pizza loving girl in anime

I don't know that I've ever seen something dubbed and thought it was better than the original. Some might be good on their own merits, but it will always be a different take on the original. Even a dub with great cast and delivery, will still have a main character with a completely different tone of voice and that's an inescapable aspect of dubbing something unless you have a multilingual cast that voices multiple versions.

And nobody ever died on the battlefield ever again. The end.

Levo

They didn't change it. Her name C.C. is pronounced "C2" in Japanese as well.

Thanks for this episode Tony! Rewatching Code Geass with you is great.

Levo

It's from the same studio as Cowboy Bebop which they certainly don't lack personality. I'd rather have an over the top dub than flat & dull, it fits the tone of the show much more.

The voice acting is something else, you dont need to say anything, we can tell. lmao

from there on forward people fought wars with pillows, balloons and everyone was happy forever and ever. the end.
