Yep, I like this episode because it calls back to the first episode in important ways. At the start of the series, Matsumoto was all about lecturing Diva as to how her mission to sing was unimportant and how he didn't need her as a partner even though the opening where the robot bodies were being built told us that every AI lives completely for its assigned mission. During these three episodes, Matsumoto got to see and hear what abandoning Diva would really accomplish. How ignoring your partner and putting your mission over theirs destroys them and makes you evil. Matsumoto comments to Antonio how annoying it sounds to have someone use that logic against you. So at the end, it's important that Matsumoto for the first time truly acknowledges Diva's mission of singing to make everyone happy. Instead of just using it as a way to get her to do what he wants, he apologies for what he said some 60+ years ago and lets her go sing despite knowing doing so will also mean she will be erased.

that fight scene is one of my favorite in anime, the choreography of it is amazing. also just a heads up that there is a post-credit scene in ep10

The fight OST in this show is so good and the animation during that fight is amazing, I come back to re watch this one a lot

Vivy really going through it. Absolutely lost right now. :( On a plus side, the action sequences this episode were indeed awesome af.
