This show gives you no emotional breaks FUCK. Fido was always there for everyone. Tony you should take a look again at the really quick flashbacks at 24:42 in your recording. There's an image there that seems really out of place until you realize what it means - it shows a young Shin, his brother, and the neighbor girl hanging out in their backyard in district 1. The shot seems really weird for Fido to have until you remember that the para-RAID was developed based on Shin's family. It's likely their dog was the first military Para-RAID test subject, potentially deemed a failure causing them to move to the human testing they've mentioned before. Either way, the experiments are why Shin is able to communicate with Fido.

86 once again giving a masterclass in direction. They use endings so well. Choosing to 'finish' the episode so early to better give the recording montage a separate space to work is just so good. And then a few things earlier in the episode that stuck out to me visually: Rain falling from a leaf hitting Anju's face transition into a tear. A leaf with 5 points, the center one with a notch around the "neck". That leaf later being shown again a bit more mangled while they're discussing him having nothing left. Shin stepping on his own neck in a puddle. I wouldn't be surprised if I missed stuff, it's just jam packed with details

The differences in the opening you were looking for in this specific video are at 3:10 and 4:06. At 3:10 it shows how many people are left alive of the 86 and at 4:06 it shows how many people have passed away
