Malahki Enos

I read it and if they don’t fuck up the adaptation it should be a super worth watch

SCUBAST3V3N

Should be good. I’ve read a good chunk of the Manwha for it. Expect some pretty damn good action in this. 👍🏻

Lijnaito2021 !

Counting down the hours so freaking hyped! Weekly reactions coming?

Renegade

I'll be honest I have no idea how this one will turn out.

Maxine

Read the manhua and its peak action with great world building. The art is what really carried it to the heights it reached so we'll see if the studio can adapt that style well into an anime.

Gabriel Rachman

the action in the novel and manhwa of this are amazing for what it is the anime should be pretty good as well. honestly, it's not that complicated to follow the storyline so you should be good

Sam

Haven’t read the manga or anything but looks like it’ll be cool. I’d watch

Kevin Baker

liked the manhwa/manga so a yes for me

Kind of unfortunate that it takes place in Japan, since now some arcs of the manga don't make sense at all, but it's still a thriller to see this animated! One of my fav manwha's.

Jet Man

Feels like a toss up. I am unfamiliar with the source material, but this gives me vibes of a lot of the other anime out there that are very similar to it. It would need something to stand out from all the other anime like it for me. Otherwise, my hunch is something like Familia Myth/DanMachi might be better. I say wait a week or two before giving it a try.

Mirrorline

suppose you want a mindless hype-fighting show sure. I dropped the manhwa after a certain point of the series. It became repetitive and boring at some point in the show but I don't think the anime will reach that.

Proxy

I read like the first 30 chapters, it definitely starts out strong at the very least! Could be a fun one.

I read this Manwha (Korean Manga) just this past year. It's one of the best Action focused stories I've read. As for the adaptation, I think A1 Pictures will do it justice (they animated Eighty Six which you're reacting to right now if that says anything to the production value). So expect this to be an action heavy show with a less complex power system compared to JJK, so less to remember. Personally I'd say it's worth the watch and would be curious to see your opinion on it . In addition, Hiroyuki Sawano for the OST so that'll also add more content for your channel most likely

I read the Manwha for this one. Very good action, the power system is very similar to an RPG so not all that confusing and I think the plot is relatively engaging. The series at it's core is a power fantasy so a lot of the enjoyment comes from seeing our relatively weak main character grow to become overpowered, would recommend at least giving the first few episodes a shot.

Could be hit or miss, there's quite a lot of big names in the production. Could be a blessing, could be a cash grab. Who knows. I'd say check it out and see if it's something you might like. While it's nice to stay current with anime, too much at once can be quite hectic. Also there's quite a lot of anime releasing Winter 2024 with a good chunk of them releasing in January that might be worth checking out.

The manhua shone because of the art and the page layout. It plays by the rule of cool, so don't expect a lot of deep themes, but the action should be good and I'm confident in A1 pictures.

V STAN

Very good action series

Lixien

It could be hit or miss, honestly the good thing about the comic this is based on is the amazing art and action, the story is not that deep, it's just fun. But yeah if it has lackluster animation is gonna be a weak series. It has Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan, 86) doing the soundtrack tho!

Lixien

Don't expect this to be good just because it has the same studio as 86 btw. It's more about the director and the staff. 86 had an amazing staff very passionate about 86.

ManaDuck

Fun series. For me personally it lacked a bit of depth to really keep me current with it. But as a pick up and read it was always a good time. Give it a shot if you fancy a bit of popcorn food in your anime rotation

Skeletan

It's not it's all hyped up to be. It's like the author desperately wanted to make a power fantasy but forgot that there is a lot more that goes into stories than pure 'I'm now Mr. Tough Guy' scenes. Having read the source, it really relies on the artist's skill in making the panels and characters look cool. Nobody was reading it for it's action or story tho lmao

Detective Gamez

Good series to look at but that’s about it

Thomas Juino

Solo Leveling universe is not that complicated XD you really should watch it when it comes out, it's a very good story

Cameron Sunken

Great series, so excited to see this get animated!

tarantulala

It's really good action, and a nice power fantasy. The plot and themes are not that deep. Very much depends how they adopt the original source. If the production lives up, it should be really nice dumb fun action with a lot of hype moments. Michael Bay of anime lol

Garv

To be honest it doesn’t stand out all that much. So many new shows come out constantly with so many ones already out that it woudnt really stand out with the shows you’ve been watching like vivy, oshi no ko, jjk, hells paradise and chainsaw man which are all top of the line shows. if I were to give some suggestions, made in abyss would probably be my top suggestion but if u wanted another suggestion show with raw action and good humor with a good story, undead unluck would follow close behind.

Arsenic805

Fair, but I have confidence they'll do it justice. At the very least I've enjoyed most if not all of the anime they've been putting out these past few years with the exception of Engage Kiss which I think was their weakest in recent times

Dirt Birb

Lets finish jjk first lol

WithoutName 98

The good thing about it the story is simple, if the animation is good you could easily watch it while doing other series no problem.

Tony, there's a ton of feedback in the comments already so I'll just add me 10 cents. I read the source material for this. It's korean. Friends raved about to me and I also really liked it... AFTER A BIT. Depending on pacing, it will take time for it to really get good. It has a slow burn at first that would take most of the season to get to that point. As patreon/YT material, I'd be skeptical of your enjoyment of it. You'd have to bank on really top notch animation, which I believe we know what teams are working on it and it's B-teams for the respective studios. So you'd have to rely on them condensing a lot of build up so that it gets good sooner. Which could make the story, already quite simple, get confusing so not sure they'd do that. That's a lot of "ifs". Personally, I think you're better off waiting to for season 1 to finish. At least that way you can hear if, from fanfare, they're happy with it, meaning pacing was decent/good, or some other outstanding qualities. For comparison, the wind-up for Chainsaw Man's in episode 1 is like walking to work in the morning. Solo-Leveling is like taking a train to NYC from out-of-state.

LagSpike

I feel like Solo Levelling is ... If you're willing to deal with some substanceless borderline drivel that just looks cool and sounds cool then Solo Leveling isn't a bad pick but the writing and storytelling is really just downright awful and uninteresting.
