Haha Tangent Tony makes another appearance (I did get to the end). Regarding your comment on cinematic composers, this reminded me of your youtube video covering the Oshi no Ko soundtrack behind the scenes because it gave us some insight into that process/communication between the musicians, composer, and production director to create that overall experience for the viewer.

This OST is amazing, both in the original version and in this orchestrated version, which by the way, there is another version of this same OST called "Thanatos - IF I CAN'T BE YOURS" which is sung, blues style (I guess I'm not an expert haha), but it gives you chills too. And yeah, I got that far too haha great reaction and explanation!!

The great thing about Neon Genesis Evangelion is that every tune is written to make you feel emotionally attached to the scenes and the characters. I strongly recommend you to watch the whole show, it's truly a remarkable and maybe a life-changing experience.

So fun fact, Evangelion Symphony is actually an album recording of a live performance of the anime soundtrack by the New Japan Philharmonic back in 1997! (I have a physical copy of this album 🥳) It’s definitely a treat if you’ve watched the show and taken a deep dive into the music behind it since the concert combines the too in a neat way. The set list is ordered in an interesting way and every now and then you’ll get the voice actors from the show coming out and talking about their experiences from working on the show and thoughts on their characters and the show itself. Although since I don’t know Japanese I can’t confirm that 100% lol. I think it would be cool if you do ever get around to react to evangelion that we could have a listening party instead of a watch party with this album (and yes I got that far)
