I actually love that the sword wasn't all that important - it wasn't what made Himmel a great hero. Opposite side of this but it reminds me of a quote from my favourite lawful evil/neutral game character "The side of good is not weak, you are." I won't be mad if Stark does get it later either though.

"Maji kansha" means really grateful in a slanglish way. From my understanding its a kinda modern way young trendy girls speak. So "hella grateful" technically works.

I think the reason they didn't pull the sword or try to pull it is because the world has already been saved by Himmel and the gang. There's currently no evil that is bent on destroying the world. Maybe in the future, there will be and when that happens, the next hero can pull that sword. Also, the little chief said "maji kansha" which is a slang trendy way of saying really grateful. That's why the translation is saying "Hella grateful". Maji kansha is an abbreviation of majide kanshashimasu. Which what the youngster use in modern days.

Maji kansha/hella grateful is slang and technically correct like folks have been saying, but also out of place for the far more traditional Japanese that's used every where else in the show. It wasn't part of the little girl's vocabulary though, she was reciting words her grandmother told her to use with Frieren... so what kind of character was her grandmother then LOL. The little girl's manner of speaking is in line with all the other kings/lords we've met so far, except when she's repeating her grandmother. I wonder if the sword in the stone is being applied in reverse here. Instead of magically coming free for a 'true hero', it tests the resolve of a wannabe hero and how they handle the disappointment of not being 'the one'. Himmel went "screw it, I'll do it anyways" and became a hero on his own merits.

I remember the fake Hero's Sword being buried together with Himmel. I would guess that the "pulled the sword" legend wasn't even them spreading that word, but people just assuming it has to be the real one since they defeated the Demon King. I get this instinct that the Hero's Sword could not be pulled because the calamity of it's legend has not yet arrived, so something worse is coming eventually and... I guess people will dig the fake sword from Himmel's grave instead of going to the Sword Village? LMAO
