It's been extremely fun watching you react to this anime. When I first watched Sound Euphonium a few years back, it blew me away in many of the same ways you mentioned in your videos. Not only the attention to detail in the instrument design and quality of musical performance in the soundtrack and the band itself playing, but also the sheer amount of RESPECT the anime gave to the activity of high school band in a world that seems hell-bent on demeaning scholastic music in media. Band kids are so often portrayed as losers, lesser than athletes, and "untouchables" in some cases - but this anime captured the essence of what it means to join band and work hard with others toward a collective goal, and the incredible, life-changing power of making music together. I am so excited for you to get to season 2, it's a big shift in tone in a very good way as our characters continue to grow and face new and very real challenges.

I didn't watch the OVA, tbh I didn't know there has one. Watching it... I was expecting her to arrive at the hall just to find out someone borrowed mallets already. "Wait so I ran all the way for nothing?" EDIT because forgot to press Shift+Enter: How do you prepare to cases where a member of the band gets sick or otherwise unavailable for other reasons on the day of the gig? Is it preferable to prepare Team B to replace members in emergency, or is it better to lack one member? (I guess the latter)

I agree, 'May the melody reach you' (Todoketai Melody) isn't just a summary of season 2. It's storyline is kind of different and have at least 20mins new scenes, and can give you a difference watch experience from season 2. I highly recommend you to watch the whole of it after season 2.
