21:14 he didn’t actually say “motherfucker.” The person who did these subtitles is taking LOTS of creative liberties with the cursing lol, but it’s funny so it’s okay. All Angelo said was “chikusho! (ちくしょう)” Which, in Japanese just means “Damn it!” or “Shit!” The word “motherfucker” doesn’t actually exist in Japanese. The closest thing might be “yaro (野郎)” which means “bastard.” There aren’t many curse words in Japanese at all. It’s more of the way you say normal words. For example, calling someone you just met “omae (お前)” is very offensive, but it just means “you.” Most Japanese people would never even dream of using the type of language that anime characters use. If they did, they would either 1, get laughed at and not taken seriously, or 2, looked down upon for being so vulgar. One of the worst things you can say to someone in Japanese is “shi ne (死ね)” which literally means “die.” So yeah, that’s my tangent, you probably won’t read all of it lol. But, yeah.
