Yeah you've phrased it perfectly, I think short shows like Violet Evergarden or 13ep/24 ep shows can be made to be 1 episode per week, which can free up an additional episode slot for JoJo while still keeping the current workload constant, or if there's not enough time to even maintain current workload, cut back further while keeping number of episodes proportional to story length. I worry that JoJo drags for so long that you eventually forget details of past parts which will still remain relevant.
