They say authors always put something of themselves into their stories, this could not be more true for me.

Red has many attributes I wish for myself: sexy, attractive, funny, interesting. Although he's not the brightest bulb he makes up for it with emotional intelligence and consequentially, everyone wants a piece of that fluffy red tail.

Green, in contrast, is everything I fear I truly am: cold, calculating, workaholic, intelligent yet unable to feel without processing it through a thick layer of intellect.

I was careful not to include any character with precisely my personality type (INTP) but Green, as an underdeveloped INTJ, is as close to possible to my own personality. It's no surprise then that Red, as an ENFP is about as different from my own personality as possible. Their personalities are a perfect match and as I have said before, Lunar Episode 1 at least is at its heart a love story between Red & Green.

There's much about Green's backstory that is similar to mine: he grew up to very religious parents and one of his greatest regrets in his life is that he was unable to rescue his sister from their lifestyle. It's become quite poignant to me once my own father passed away and I feel a deep regret for not getting my own sister out of there sooner.

The image above is one of my favourites of Green - this is because it is the very first piece of fan art I ever received. I am so pleased to have such a piece of art about the game.
