Merry (almost) Christmas, my friends! Here's this years new annual Batgirl Supergirl Christmas comic. Yay! A fairly simple one compared to some past years, but I think that's okay. They can't all be epic hugs and cocoa.

Now, besides Santa's soul-seeing powers, something that's also unique--at least on this Patreon--is a bit of insight not just into my art process but sometimes into my writing process as well. In this case, I had the initial idea of all-powerful Santa only gifting Babs a gift card but had a hard time landing on any punchline (or such) for it. As time was running out to get one of these done for the year though, I ran with the idea anyhow and ended up with the above. But then after finishing, I thought maybe some different dialog in the final panel would work better?

My wife seemed to think I should just stick to my original instinct (and she's usually right about these things) but I thought it'd be fun to share here and get your thoughts as well. Which do you like better, my amazing subscribers? One or two (or *gulp* neither)? Your vote will help me decide which version to share with the rest of the world on Christmas.

And with that out of the way, I want to wish you all a very peaceful, loving and cozy holiday. For those celebrating a gift exchanging tradition, I hope you get some surprises. Maybe even a gift card. Or a new holiday wallpaper. 🙂🎅🏻

Voting for #1! Love this one :)

I really like #1 for the gift card gag (and the implications for Kara), but we also don't see Kara getting a gift card (or anything), so her response feels a bit off. I agree with SAS_Art that weapons seems a bit aggressive for Babs, but Kara's response fits perfectly in #2. If I had to pick one though, I'd vote for #1. Merry Christmas!

I like this idea of combining them! Batgirl #1 (He really does know me) and then Supergirl #2 (I think I need to have...) I'm not sure if you meant to propose this mix-n-match solution but I'm giving you credit for untangling this Gordian knot and making my day regardless of what Mike chooses. Merry Christmas!
