Beach Girl (Patreon)

I haven't done much else but color my next graphic novel for almost three straight weeks now so I decided to take a short break today and draw another one of my little pinup girls. I like working on comics but I find that if I don't make some time to draw some personal art--just for myself--from time to time, I tend to get kinda grumpy. So this was a pleasant distraction before jumping back into coloring (which I will be doing as soon as I finish writing this post!).

Speaking of colors, I had in my head the color scheme for this would be mostly reds and blues (for the upcoming holiday weekend) but then I was messing with the tones a bit and I liked how they looked so I'm including that version here as well. They both feel like different times of the day to me, with the reds/blues heading out toward to ocean waves and the purples/pinks heading back home as the sun sets--presumable after enjoying a nice relaxing day.
