Hey Everyone,

This was our last set of videos we filmed at the old studio (I think -- or mostly, maybe one or two more will filter out). We have some moving vlog stuff, but I'm not counting that in the tally. We are running a new public Ask GN, the final of the old studio and likely of the year, and a new Patrons Ask GN here.

As always, if you need to connect to the GN Discord, you can find the instructions for that here: https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/212052266-How-do-I-connect-Discord-to-Patreon-Patron-

00:00 - Patreons Ask GN 40

00:23 - How Does TDP Relate to Power Consumption?

05:52 - Are All Gen7 Asetek Coolers Equal?

07:35 - Does the Disappointment of 2021 Fit on a Shirt?

08:20 - What’s the Typical Lifespan of a PSU?

10:43 - What’s the Optimal Setting for Pump Speed?

12:32 - Will GN Review the Framework Laptop?

It's still nice to have some old studio videos... It was "home" for so long! Can't wait to watch this!!!

Remember that PSUs have thermal interface material that users DON'T tend to replace (for obvious reasons) that can dry up, etc. and allow a MOSFET to suffer from thermal runaway. Of course, you can't find this without a complete tear down of a PSU, so good rule of thumb is, if the fan dies... replace the PSU.

How do you know when to replace a power supply? Gigabyte: Hold my beer.

I would love to see some laptop thermal reviews (most notably the framework laptop, since I'm planning to buy it as soon as it hits the EU market). Not many laptop review outlets talk about thermals, especially chassis temps. There still are many people who use laptops in their lap and having the bottom of the laptop at 50C and giving you first degree burns is definitely something I'd want to know before buying one.
