Raw Gold From MOP Timewalking (Patreon)

Currently the new Mists Of Pandaria Timewalking event is active. (I held off on this for a few days as there were many bugs with the event implementation)

However, it is important to note that Mists Of Pandaria specifically is the best timewalking event to monetize timewalking badges. The gear that can be bought from Mistweaver Xia can be resold to vendors for more than any other timewalking event. Please bear this in mind if you have a lot of TW badges that you are not going to use on the TW pets/mounts/toys.

Currently the best item to buy from Mistweave Xia are "Locust Swarm Legguards" which sell to vendors for 33 Gold 90 silver for 25 Timewalking Badges. 

There is a 2-hour window during which time you can resell the item and get your TW badges refunded. You can not cash in the badges during this time. 

If you wish to resell the item immediately, a way to do this is to buy a low-level leg item off the auction house, then transmogrify this low-level item with the leg item you have just purchased. This will make the leggings refundable for gold instantly. Then revert the appearance of the low-level item using transmog again, and repeat the whole process with each pair of leggings. 

Note you can only do this with leggings your character can actually wear, so you may wish to choose another pair of leggings relevant to your class if you want to cash out quickly.

You should receive 530 Tw badges from the first dungeon you run, 500 of which come from the "Shrouded Timewarped Coin" item which drops from the last boss. Trading these in for Locust Swarm Legguards" or 711 gold + any transmog or other items of value you may pick up (which I'm not including in the calculations). Dungeons take about 10 minutes so that is 4266 raw gold per hour per alt or class trial character just from the TW badges, which is better than most "raw" gold farms.

 If you are especially unscrupulous dps can often get away with afking through these and just picking up the timewarped coin when the final boss is reached.
