The event requires the contribution of normally valueless items like raw clefthoof meat which are spiking in price as a result. Currently the meat sells for 15G. Note that the speedrunner Shiekrunner has publicized a method for very fast leveling by turning in these items.

There is a re-spawn point for for tamed clefthoof's at Nagrand in Draenor at 78.60, 72.50. Most of the time the clefthoof's re-spawn instantly. This can lead to some very lucrative farming if you optimize your class for this purpose. It is possible to get over 50 raw clefthoof per hour from this farm especially with assistance. The engineering loot-a-rang helps a lot here. 

Sometimes the clefthoof's stop spawning for a short period. If you have a starter edition account character you can switch into party sync mode and change realms which should cause you to find re-spawned clefthoof's-they will be a little harder to kill as they are now scaled to your level. If you have a partner or second account you can use the trick from the archives here to leave the group while on a multi-seat mount and remain on the other realm whilst doing full damage from the legacy buff as you would outside of party sync.
