You can exit any solo shuffle that you que for without penalty by using the /camp command. You will then be logged out and returned to your original position in-world.

Why you would you want to do this? The most obvious reason is to reset cooldowns on player abilities and items. This happens because the preparation buff you get at the start of instanced pvp, including solo shuffle, resets a lot of valuable cooldowns.

For example the Wormhole Generator: Shadowlands, an engineering item which transports you to any Shadowlands zone instantly , has a 15 minute cooldown which is reset when you enter solo shuffle*. Effectively this method gives you infinite teleports between zones.

Exploiting this item greatly increases the profitability of treasures, world quests and callings from the different zones.

Additionally abilities with long cooldowns like Timewarp/Bloodlust can also be reset. Generally speaking the minimal loss of time involved in entering/exiting the shuffle is more than compensated for by increased damage per second from gold farming in high-level content.

As with most forms of instance ques you can use solo shuffle to escape death provided you que for the shuffle before you died. If the que pops after player death you will be resurrected at full health where you died after you exit the shuffle.

*This can be done with arena skirmishes also but increasing penalties are incurred with each successive use. You can que for arena and solo shuffle concurrently to maximize the probability either will pop at any given moment.
