This exploit literally eliminates travel time to the covenant zones in Shadowlands and speeds up calling completion by about 30% making for a significant increase in raw gold per hour from callings and world quests.

A weird by-product of changing covenants is that if your hearthstone is set to any covenant  base (eg Hearth Of The Forest, Seat Of The Primus) then when you switch covenant your hearthstone is automatically reset to the alternative base for that covenant.

So, for example if your hearthstone is set to Sinfall, and you switch to Ardenweald, you can switch covenants by talking to the Night Fae representative in Oribos and then port directly to Ardenweald.

Note that any callings you had will be wiped by this process and must be picked up again (which can be done very quickly as they will be available in the new covenant base you just ported to).

To make callings active in the new covenant, the first time you do this you will have run through the initial quests to set them up, which can be mostly skipped and done in a few minutes, unless you've never done them on any character on that wow account. This is a one-time process.

Be careful to complete quests like the "Replenish The Reservoir" or coins of brokerage quests which are not zone-specific, before you switch covenant-as your progress on these will be reset when you change covenants.

Changing covenants has a small associated loss in player power caused by losing the boons of your main covenant-this can mostly be ameliorated by purchasing the Broker's Mark Of Distinction from the NPC next to the flightmaster in Oribos. This item will raise your reknown with that covenant to 40 and allow you to restore a lot of the lost power. Again you only need to do this once for each covenant.

I know it is posted below, but just wanted to copy it to this thread for anyone who hasn't seen it. The engineering item Wormhole Generator: Shadowlands is reset upon entering an arena skirmish. There is a small gold investment to get one, however they only require shadowlands engineering level 1. Happy teleporting

Yeah that's a really powerful exploit worthy of an article in its own right. The only reason I didn't publish it here was that wowhead did a lead article on it a while back.

Ah I didn't know that. I really would not expect blizzard to allow it for so long haha I guess they're allowing this one
