The buff "Soul Infusion"

https://www.wowhead.com/spell=317103/soul-infusion

can be obtained from literally any pool of water in Bastion in the Shadowlands. This buff gives you up to 10% arcane damage increase and 5% magic reduction. *

The buff is not designed to be taken outside of the zone* and vanishes on any port. However, classes which can use minions can get around this:

1. "Dunk" your pet in a pool in Bastion, ie command them to enter the water.

2. The pet will receive ticking stacks of a buff. Dismiss your pet while the buff is ticking.

3. Re-summon them outside of Bastion-the buff will continue ticking till you have received maximum stacks and remain on your pet for its full 30 minute duration.

The arcane damage part of the buff may be useful-but I cannot at this time find a pet/minion which uses arcane damage in its attacks.

However the magic damage reduction is quite useful for a number of wow situations. Increased pet survivability is really useful in chaotic situations like raids and epic pvp, where magic damage is everywhere and it is difficult to keep track of what your pet is doing.

The ticking effect from fluid-based buffs is not exclusive to this exploit. If you can find another fluid-based effect like this you may have something useful.

* The buff itself is very underrated for leveling in Bastion - it makes leveling for classes such as druids, mages and hunters with specs which use arcane damage heavily - faster. This however is not an exploit, just something comparatively few players notice.

Is there any exploits for zone out from other players/mobs to gather uninterrupted. Like the carriage godmode. Wow secrets said there was 2 but that was fixed and I've no idea of others

"... it makes leveling for classes such as druids, mages... " what... WHAT?! Did someone one say fast lvling for mages?... [omg, it's finally happening... AV LVLING 2.0 !!!] ( sort of )

idk if what I'm saying is what you are asking for but... I remember Arch has a way ( assuming it still works ) to be in a Scenario queued from the White Tiger Temple(?) in Kun-Lai summit. Once in this Scenario you can somehow port out & be in the real world but still have the 'green eye' on your min map that you can click & somehow return you to the Scenario. So he would be in current content & could engage w/e he wanted & if aggressive players showed up & tried to kill him he could return to the Scenario with just a click of the green eye command. This action would also reset all your CDs so he could go find the opposing faction, kick some ass w/ all his CDs then when stuff starts to go south he could then use the eye port & be safe & fully CD refreshed. To be clear idk if this method still works or if this is even what you are asking for but I hope it is helpful.

I think BJa is a slightly different one from that concept Chris-though that one can be used to some extent to pacify mobs. Btw The cooldown reset thing is from LFR rather than scenarios.

I experimented around with this and found a way to get the hidden buff stuck on my toon. There are two buffs at play here, a hidden one, and the one you see on your screen. The hidden buff is given when you enter the water and applies the visible buff every 3 seconds https://www.wowhead.com/spell=317104/soul-infusion. If you stand in the water, log out, and then use the unstuck feature to teleport away. The hidden buff gets stuck on your character. The buff keeps trying to give you the visual one but it gets removed on the same frame. The hidden buff will keep tick on you causing the flicker until you go back to bastion. While flying in you will start getting the visual buff. When putting the buff on my water elemental, I noticed the same thing was happening. It might be possible to take other buffs outside of their attended area with unstuck, and since unstuck is an 8 hour cooldown, being able to test it with a pet first can save a lot of time.

Just tried this very clever. Am I correct in understanding this is visual only? Ie the hidden buff appears to only trigger damage increase/magic reduction when actually in Bastion. It flashes but doesn't seem to alter any stat or damage in any way. Not that I can't see the theoretical value of what you discovered here, just clarifying.

I took the buff in to a dungeon so I could log it out and you get this in the log repeated every three seconds. 11/8 16:30:08.458 SPELL_AURA_APPLIED,0000000000000000,nil,0x511,0x0,Player-162-0B56627B,"Castimo-EmeraldDream",0x511,0x0,317103,"Soul Infusion",0x40,BUFF 11/8 16:30:08.458 SPELL_AURA_REMOVED,0000000000000000,nil,0x511,0x0,Player-162-0B56627B,"Castimo-EmeraldDream",0x511,0x0,317103,"Soul Infusion",0x40,BUFF

The hidden buff only exists to apply the visual one. Its how they get it to add a stack every 3 seconds. The visual one is the one that gives you the damage reduction and arcane damage increase.

Going through some old post, the lava in Tanaan Jungle works the same way. Haven't tried unstucking myself in it as Im on CD but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Update: Tried the lava, it works the same way, though when it applies the debuff it does damage. You don't get killed after 10 stacks since the stacks get removed as soon as it get applied but you do eventually die which removes the buff. Side note, unstuck seems to randomly untransmogify my gear, kinda weird.

Deleted my recent comment. It didn't belong here.
