Infinite Hearth Trick (Solo)

Original TBC/Vanilla players may remember a trick called "ghetto hearthing". The practice of ghetto hearthing involves entering an instance while in a group, then leaving the group, which results in a 1-minute countdown which teleports you to your hearth location without putting your hearthstone on cooldown. This still works well in TBC classic.

The problem with ghetto hearthing is that you may not always have a friend handy to group with. I discovered that you do not actually need a group to perform this trick, inviting someone, anyone, temporarily creates a group of one, regardless of whether the invited person accepts the invite. This group one can be left by clicking the appropriate option on your character pane as you would leave a party normally.

There is a potential issue with inviting random people to your group in that this may, confuse, alarm or upset them. To avoid this simply log-in on another character (it can be a level 1) on the same account. Use alt+f4 and close the client. Then log-in on the character you want to teleport while in a dungeon and invite the character you logged-in on previously. You should now see the group ui frame form and be able to leave the party, which should cause the one-minute countdown and teleport to your hearth location.

I cannot emphasize how much time you can save using this trick leveling. Correct hearthstone usage is one of the most important aspects of fast leveling in tbc, this trivializes it. Additionally you can make a great deal of gold by using this trick in conjunction with doing limited supply item runs across Outland and Azeroth from vendors who sell these items.

Zul'Farrak Infinite Re-Spawn

Patreon Kaî kindly contributed the following information about infinite waves of mobs spawning during the stairs event in Zul'Farrak:

We let the npc escort die and just couldn't beat wave after wave...they seem to stop spawning after you defeat the two troll bosses at the foot of the steps...if they infinitely spawn and the event doesn't have a duration could be an easy afk thing.

The event sends 2-3 normal mobs at you ever 15 seconds and throws an elite with around 2-3hp every 30s or less. Its very easy for any 70 char to deal with as long as they can deal 1.2k aoe damage if they start to stack up. Normal mob hp = roughly 1.3k.

Arathi Highlands Repeatable Quest Re-Spawn

A patreon writes:

I am doing quests in Arathi Highlands on Horde in TBC Classic, and there is a quest chain "Broken Sigil".  The final chain seems to be instantly respawning the 3 named mobs (linked in the picture below).  I am not sure if this is any use to you, or if it has been covered before (Archvaldor note: it has not).  My lvl 39 Paladin was getting about 200xp per mob I think.  I was quickly overwhelmed by them constantly spawning though and only lived because I had my 70 mage there.  Might be useful for the pet killing boosting from outside the party.  i.imgur.com/cykIWRM.png . *

Also regarding the above, drops normal money and silk cloth.

Farming Motes Repeatedly With Zapthrottle Mote Extractor (Speculative)

This is potentially a huge economic exploit but currently is NOT reproducible. Consequently this should only be attempted by exploiters who are attempting to get ahead of the curve and find their own exploits.

A patreon mentioned that he attempted to use the engineering item, Zapthrottle Mote Extractor,in Shadowmoon Valley in locations near to the Horde and Alliance bases. The extractor zaps clouds that float randomly about Outland and harvests valuable motes for the player. My source mentioned that he managed to extract motes from a cloud three times as it was moving away - normally the cloud would vanish after being zapped.

I attempted to reproduce this and was successful only once in dozens of attempts. I tried various things, inducing lag, zapping clouds on the edges of zones, and stop/start channelling with the mote extractor. The exact trigger remains elusive.

You typically get 4 motes (currently worth around 2 gold on my ah) so being able to farm the same cloud without it dispersing is a very powerful dupe.

* This is a method whereby you have two players in a group, one on the edge of a zone, one (the leveling character) tagging mobs, and one nearby high-level player sending a mob to finish off the tapped mobs. This strategy gives the leveling player full xp from the pet kills.

Heard a rumour that if you have expired auctions on the CLASSIC (not TBC) realm, and restore them via item restoration, you may get dupes of your item. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/825766084971200522/856264231111753758/unknown.png
