The Karazahn chess encounter can be completed multiple times for multiple loot. That this encounter is bugged is now public information on reddit and elsewhere: however the exact method to do so is more mysterious.

Piecing events together from bug report what seems to have happened is this: multiple guilds reported completing the chess encounter but not the whole raid, going to sleep, and coming back to find the chess encounter could be completed again, and its chest looted again.

This sounded like it was occurring due to a soft reset, which is when every player in a raid leaves the dungeon and returns after 30 minutes (a common practice to reset trash in the original tbc). And indeed some suggested this was what was happening. However, others have suggested simply exiting the raid caused the chess event to reset. So it would be best to try exiting the raid then doing a soft reset if this does not work.

I have mixed feelings about recommending public exploits like this. One the one hand it is nice way to get extra loot. On the other hand there tends to be enormous pressure on Blizzard from the community to take action against public plays like this, so it is questionable whether the risk is worth it. If your guild tries this I would advise doing it a limited number of times in a way that is not obviously exploiting the glitch multiple times in a short period. Blizzard are unlikely to ban guilds that do this on consecutive days for example.

Please review this exploit recommendation, there’s threads on the forums and on reddit where people are getting two week bans.

It was more of a warning than a recommendation. That said, I take your point but most of the content here could potentially result in a ban. Btw I'd take those reports with a pinch of salt, historically people do tend to make up stuff about bans.
