Siege Of Orgrimmar Skip (Patreon)

Summary

A simple method to skip the boss Galakras in the Siege Of Orgrimmar Raid is presented. This method requires you to induce lag by use of the lag7 program or disconnect your modem. This method is much faster than previous skip methods. This technique makes farming the LFR version of the raid more profitable for gold farmers.

Siege Of Orgrimmar is a strange raid. The bosses can all be one-shot by a 120 and drop a decent amount of gold, and there is a lot of trash which collectively drop a decent quantity of gold and mats, however there is simply way too much roleplay and space between bosses to make it viable for gold farming. If we can cut down travel time and/or skip roleplay it could become more interesting. Here is one method to help do this:

In the second half of the raid you teleport to an instanced version of Orgrimmar landing at Bladefist bay. Here you are meant to defend the boss Galakras which is one of the slowest legacy boss fights in the game. It takes several minutes to even begin it, and has multiple phases with a lot of roleplay. This encounter dramatically reduces the profitability of the whole raid.

However the skip itself takes almost 3 minutes even when done perfectly. 

There is a better method which is surprisingly simple: at bladefist bay a path stretches in front of you with some elite Kor'kron snipers at the end. If you get too close to them they will instantly kill you, a torch to your right marks the death point.

Simply lag out, you can use a program like lag 7 (download here:

 , (make sure you check the program with anti-virus ware*),  or you can just literally pull out your modem cable. The lag's duration should be 8 seconds. 

Ride (you can mount up in this raid) while lagging past the Kor'kron and you bypass the instadeath mechanic, and can take the path to the left to the second boss. 

LFR Gold

The main use of this technique is for the LFR version of the raid. You can access this version from Lorewalker Han in the Seat Of Knowledge, in Mogu'shan Palace in the "old" version of the Vale Of Eternal Blossoms. Select the option "Tell me of the war that came to the gates of retribution". 

The LFR version begins at the gates of Orgrimmar, the second half of the raid, thereby eliminating the necessity to kill the slow and unprofitable bosses in the first half of the raid. 

If you are doing a run of all the fastest LFR bosses to kill for gold (as in my public guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQROcEr0j4s  )  , you can get an additional 500-600 gold in 3-4 minutes doing the raid with the skip. Note that the LFR version only has 4 bosses. 

I do not recommend doing "full" (ie normal, heroic and mythic) versions of SOO even with this skip, the gold per hour is very low.
