ANOTHER Mob In Legacy Raid Dropping 700+ Gold (Patreon)

 Summary: An additional mob in a legacy raid has been discovered to be dropping an excessive amount of raw gold. This is in addition to mobs mentioned in previous posts. This is in addition to any other items that may be obtained normally. In this case the raid mob requires a specific set of actions in order to trigger the (probably unintended) bonus gold.

The mob in question is the:

XT-002 Deconstructor

The XT-002 must be defeated in "Hard Mode". Hard mode was an experimental feature Blizzard introduced for Ulduar only whereby players can fight bosses on different difficulty levels through some in-game interaction rather than simply switching raid difficulty through an interface. Hard mode with the XT-002 works like this: as you reduce the boss's health his heart will become exposed. Target the heart, then when it is destroyed kill the XT. This counts as a "hard mode" kill, and awards 730 Gold-clearly the result of the same bug which is affecting the trees in Freya's Conservatory.

When I discovered this I tested all of the bosses in hard mode to see if any others awarded erroneous amounts of gold but none did. However, Ulduar is quite large and complicated with numerous weird mobs and variations scattered throughout the raid so I would not be surprised if there are other bugged mobs somewhere.
