The following macro is designed for use in Dire Maul and will require a priest with mind vision.  This macro will home in instantly on all the spawn locations of the item "A Dusty Tome", which provides "A throughly read copy of Nat Pagle's Guide To Fishing". The guide is as currently listed as being worth over 12000 gold. We locate the tome by precision targetting carefully chosen NPC's with mind vision near the tome's spawn points.

You may wonder why I did not put "Priest" in the title as I normally do with class-specific guides-the reason is that you only need a level 31* priest to do mind vision in Dire Maul, the tome can be collected by any character you can form a group with. Even with the 7.3.5 changes level 31 doesn't take that long. The other reason is that the titles of these articles can be viewed by the public and I don't want to tip any one off.

The macro I'm going to share with you is very powerful, literally accomplishing in seconds what would normally take at least fifteen minutes.

First, go to Dire Maul Capital Gardens. You can target mobs in both Capital Gardens and Dire Maul North.

You cast mind vision after every /tar.

/tar guard fengus

/tar guard slip'kik

/tar king gordok

For Fengus: additionally target one of the ogres in the bottom left of the area for the spawn location. For Slip'kik check the skull under the stairs.

Note that the order is important...if you start with King Gordok for example it simply won't work.

If the tome is present in any location, simply go and pick it up.

If not, we'll now search Capital Gardens. Again alternate every /tar with mind vision.

/tar Illyanna Ravenoak

/tar Immol'thar

Immol'thar will require additional mind vision of mobs in the south-east corner of the prison, the tome will be near the shield.

Finally there's Dire Maul East:

/tar Pusillin

/tar Lethtendris

/tar Old Ironbark

Dire Maul East is more difficult than the other two wings. Note you'll have to physically move into Dire Maul East as it can't be searched from Capital Gardens. Second, all the spawn locations apart from Lethtendris are awkward, not being close to any notable mobs. For this reason you may want to run through it a few times to familiarize yourself with the spawn locations.

The spawn location for the tome in Pusillin's area is past a tree and next to a rock across the way from him. The spawn for the Old Ironbark area is behind and to the left of him near a broken tree.

The final spawn location for the tome is right next to the end boss of Dire Maul East: Alzzin the Wildshaper. Unfortunately Alzzin cannot be mind visioned since he doesn't appear to spawn until a player comes into relatively close proximity-however, by deduction, we can infer the tome is next to him if it is nowhere else.

As you may know I cannot use images from the game without potentially violating copyright: however, I can point you to Sharken808's videos on Dire Maul North: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAdZ-1Zlc9k and Dire Maul Easthttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wf3HjT_7D0o where he shows you the exact spawn locations.

I can also point you to wowhead http://www.wowhead.com/object=179547/a-dusty-tome , the map here has spawn locations for every point in the entire instance. Click on "change floor" on the top right-hand side to change the area.

It should be relatively easy to clear 100,000 gold's worth of guides per hour invested using these macros. The tomes do sell. However, it is a good idea not to saturate the market since these only sell to paladins who will only ever buy one. For this reason it might be better to just scan DM:North and Capital Gardens since these are much easier to run through, and just reset the instance if the tome is in DM: East. Especially if you have limited time, effectively turning this into a fast-paced RNG farm.

Note that as I've published previously you can scry for the tomes with Shaman farsight and roguestones (useable by all, jewelcrafted item sometimes available on ah) if you prefer. These methods are fast and lucrative: the mind vision method is almost absurdly fast.

Finally it may be adviseable to take a demon hunter with you and form a group, since priests are not very fast as a class, leaving the actual running through the dungeon once a tome is located to the DH.

Note: I WILL be publishing this method publicly towards the countdown to Battle For Azeroth. This is because I would expect the value of the tomes to plummet in BFA as artifact weapons and their appearances will no longer be current content (the guide is used for the corrupted Ashbringer appearance). So there will be no reason to keep the information secret past a certain timeframe. For this reason you may wish to act sooner rather than later.

See Smusen comment below, seems this fails a lot at 31. Testing this to see what level this becomes practical.
