Dramatically Increase Gold Per Hour-Move At 400% Speed Through Instances With Secret Item (Patreon)

The item "Cracked Radinax Control Gem" currently allows players to move at flying mount speed through most forms of instanced pve content. This is exceptionally useful for mount/pet/gold farming legacy content and dramatically increases your average gold earnings per hour from virtually everything. 

The gem can be obtained from various bosses in the Antoran Wastes on Argus as a rare drop. However, I wouldn't recommend trying to farm it as the drop is only 10% or so. Currently it is selling on the auction house for generally much less than a 100 gold (on my realm, 6! gold). Since each gem has three charges lasting 20 second each this is excellent value.

The main problem with the item is that, for some weird reason, it is unique-equipped, meaning only one can be carried at a time. Engineers have a partial workaround in that they can use a mail box mid-instance to obtain more gems when they have used the 3 charges. 

A way of increasing the effective duration of the mount is by using lag7 or other lag-based effect. Set lag7 to no more than 8 seconds or you risk a disconnection and potentially being ported back to the start of the instance. 

Helpfully Blizzard have not bothered to fix their post 7.3 rendering problems, so you may well be able to get an extended duration out of this mount without third-party software, at least, immediately after log-in.

Normally this type of overpowered item gets fixed relatively quickly, usually with a "not in this zone" restriction, and the price of the item may rise if people begin to figure out how valuable it is. So I would take advantage of this now.
