A niche, but interesting exploit nonetheless, this one.

The quest item in question will make you effectively invincible in instanced content for a limited period.

A way down the Mount Hyjal quest line is a quest called "The Greater Of Two Evils".

This quest involves a quest item called "Talisman Of Flame Ascendancy". The Talisman itself cannot be used outside of the intended quest zone, however it can be activated within the zone and the buffs it gives you do persist outside the zone.

Using the Talisman gives you e vehicle UI and a buff called flame ascendancy for one minute. During this time you can activate a button with no cooldown called "Flame Shield" which reduces damage taken by 95% for 10 seconds. This can be used in pvp and pve content to make your character temporarily invincible.

Archvaldor Note: I am aware many of you are interested in the possibility of getting mop remix characters to integrate with Dragonflight content: I am working on this hard. It seems a lot of public info surrounding this issue is not accurate so this is taking longer than I anticipated.

That was on OC. There seems to be little justification for that claim and their seem to be some doubts on the veracity of that statement from multiple credible sources. Since that is probably 95% of the interest here you can begin to understand why this is taking me a while. I'm not sure if this is just a maddeningly sophisticated piece of trolling or something really cool.

I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't trolling. You can get in chromie time so all the zones become lvl 10-60. The fact that trade chat is shared between remix and retail also makes me think seeing others may be possible.

The issue of whether this is possible is of course separate from whether what is being claimed (as I'm sure you know but worth stating). True story: the infamous fake azerite exploit from BFA was fake-but there was actually a real azerite exploit literally no one seemed to notice.
