Phewh! Here is a cover for my imaginary edition of Dune (or, probably, for my non-imaginary Dune zine???) - but it's also a more complex (meaning "expensive" XD) Patreon commission. Killing two flies with one blow here, hehe!

Working on the piece was so intense, especially since my lazy ass don't own any masking fluid for watercolor - and you can probably deduct the level of seriousness of business here from the process pics and the amount of items I had to use while drawing (a jar of salt is out of the frame, laughing, too):

Also, attached below: another classic case of "if you squint enough you can't tell which one is sketch and which one is finished":

This came out amazing! and now I'm jealous of the recipient.

As a fellow Dune fan this is amazing. The lettering alone is great.

Heh, 'sketch'. The whole thing is just incredible. Beyond what I ever imagined. What on Earth (Arrakis?) do you use the salt for?

TBH, I cheated big time with the letetrs - they are from that old card game :)

it usually does effects like this - https://youtu.be/TmeW2kz5REQ I don't use watercolor paper, so the effect is not as dramatic. BUT! I use very small salt, and part of it stays as grain on the drawing ^___^

Even if this was just sand dunes, I think I'd love this. Absolutely beautiful
