"Capital 4 Goblins" video series- episode ONE (Patreon)

Hey gang, I've done something drastic: started reading Marx's Capital.

Figured it would be fun to create some content out of it. I'm trying to make this accessible to everyone, whether you've read Capital (or any Marx) or you're totally new to these ideas! It's like those "for dummies" books but it's for goblins. And it's a video series, not a book. The more I think about it, the less it is like the "for dummies" thing. Anyway...

For those poor souls who want to read this annoying (but important!) book along with me, I'll be using the same divisions as Marxist professor David Harvey does in his video series/ podcast about the book, so for the first episode I followed his lead and read all the intros and the first section of Chapter one.

So if you're using the Penguin Classics version (pictured in the thumbnail) that's everything up to page 131. Please feel free to read along and if you have any questions about the readings/ podcast so far, let me know. I'm far from an expert on Marx so I'd welcome everyone's input :)

Anyway, check out my thoughts so far in this video- there's a surprising amount of hilarious juicy drama in the intros, before we eventually get to the boring stuff about "exchange value" and whatever he's talking about.
