So I've been working on a long, in-depth analysis of the recent Chris Rock Netflix comedy special "Selective Outrage" for a while now. It's essentially finished at this point, a few final touches aside. Unfortunately, I've decided to hold off on posting it.

There's currently a strike going on against Netflix and numerous other companies, and according to the SAG-AFTRA union website, it could be considered crossing the picket line for me to post any content about Netflix properties.

Huge bummer! But I decided to clip just a small section from the full video to show you guys. This part should pretty much stand on its own- the one thing that might be confusing is the "shape of a joke" which is a concept I explain earlier in the video:

According to Bob Hope's head writer Gene Peret, all jokes essentially have the same shape- a long straight line that suddenly veers off in another direction at the end. Jokes make us think we know where they are going (during the setup), then subvert our expectations RIGHT at the end (punchline). I use Peret's joke shape to conceptualize my proposal for something I call "The Eternal Setup" which is explained in this video.

I'm also working on a quick video that should be out very soon (by the end of next week!), so you won't have to wait too long for more gob-tent. And when the strike ends, OR better yet I get an e-mail back from SAG-AFTRA telling me I'm good to publish it, I'll post that right away.

workshopping idea for book That's What Buses Do with succinct descriptions of objects' basic utilities "Can wash dishes in the sink and then after removing them wash hands in that sink because that's what..." "Sharp knives can cut bread and less sharp knives can spread butter or other spreadable foods and back to sharp knives they can be used other, weird ways, which I don't want to get into right now, because that's what..."

I'm a bit late, but I love the artwork! Trump is by far my favourite politician because he's such a silly guy. It makes him feel a bit more human than other politicians imo, so I kinda get why people voted for him. Besides the silliness he's complete garbage though and I hope somebody eggs him. Anyway I can't wait to see the full video!
