Throwback Thursday strikes again! This was my attempt at a logo for The Underburbs way back when it was only a working title. I always liked the idea of inverting symbols to represent the human world and the monster world. The simple houses and castles appear in this early design, but the use of pumpkins and skulls became a more versatile shorthand for it. Check out my early 2000s use of gradients! Luckily, we had a graphic designer friend who gave us a handful of different, much simpler logos. I can't imagine this monstrosity taking up like two fifths of every cover.
