Here we are, the release date of Tears of the Kingdom, the reason why I’ve spent the last two weeks on Zelda overdrive. I spent week one on the NES games because I am old. I spent week two on my personal highlights, or at least things I wanted to draw. I didn’t want to repeat any games this week, but most of the Zeldas I skipped are ones that I enjoy, but never inspired me to grab a pencil. Link the the Past, Ocarina of Time, hell, even Skyward Sword have things that I love to play or have great tunes, but I never felt the need for fan art. Not even when I was a kid.

Breath of the Wild falls into that category. I love the look of it, the sparse sound design, the sense of exploration, etc. But still, nothing I just had to draw.

But then I asked my coworker, who’s been counting down the days to TotK along with me, what I should draw. Without hesitation, they said Urbosa. So here she is, being, in my coworker’s words, “a boss bitch.”
