I don't know why it's this one that reminded me, but I've definitely noticed an improvement in your work. Not in a "this looks more professional" or "this looks like <insert cartoonist="" known=""> level work" way. I've always seen your stuff as professional, inspiring, and so forth. But the style and the details seem to pop more, the poses are just a little more dynamic, and without motion or dialogue, the scene tells its own story which I always found the most important part of art storytelling.</insert>

Oooh, I like this. It's making me think of the Curse of Monkey Island caber toss scene. I also agree with the above statement. I've only been following you 18 months, but the artwork seems to jump off the page more. (sorry I don't have the words to give better praise like the above.)

Thanks! This is actually one of the rare instances of the drawing coming out almost exactly like the sketch. And I was purely thinking about weight and motion in that I didn't go for reference. I just tried to picture what husky Scottish Angela would look like holding a very heavy log, and just had fun with it!
