Yo don remember that you never read the comics. “Black Iron Man” whos name is Brody, is Tony’s best and longest friend. Since youngin days. He was played by another actor in the first movie but they’re the same character “Brody” tony’s BFF basically. So everything he’s done is with that in mind.

Scarlet Johansson, the highest-paid actress in the world for both 2018 and 2019, starred in the live action version of Ghost in the Shell, but she's been in an insane number of films since she was a kid. I honestly can't think of what she was first known for, when she blew up in fame and popularity, but she is pretty well known for the Marvel movies. The next time she appears is in Avengers, and after that, she is present in many Marvel movies. Not really a spoiler because she has played a side character for a very long time. She even played a character in a movie where she never actually shows up in person, it's just her voice used for an AI, but she carried that movie with only her voice. That movie has nothing to do with Marvel, but I quite enjoyed it, the movie called Her.

The anime movie is actually pretty crazy, the live action version is more about entertaining whereas the anime version follows the author’s main vision for the story, hitting hard on certain themes and concepts. I’d recommend it, even if in your own time. It’s actually free on YouTube rn

honestly i feel like watching it in the order it came out is better than doing it chronologically, because hes watching it in the same way we would have experienced it our first time watching (ie i prefer the way hes currently doing it)

The first Ghost in the Shell film is still one of the GREATEST looking Cyberpunk films of all time, and doubly so for animated films in the genre as a whole. JFC, the art direction is still astounding to this day. Lemme put it this way: this movie is SO influential, several movies likely wouldn't exist without it (The Matrix, for example, was so influenced by GitS, that some stills in The Matrix are nearly identical to stills from GitS - in an easter egg sort of way). It has been as impactful as Blade Runner has, and that's saying something. (BTW - I mean the ORIGINAL cut, I can't express that enough. If you watch it, PLEASE watch the original version. The updated version replaces a lot of scenes with CGI and I personally don't like it as much. Not necessarily because it's CGI, but because they replaced so much beautiful hand-drawn artwork with CGI. The truth is - CGI is fine when done well and the situation calls for it. The CGI in the updated cut isn't BAD - but it PALES in comparison to the original cut.)

Good news on Ghost in the Shell; I checked - the free one on YouTube that Nathan mentioned is the original cut I was talking about :) 1080p, too - with subs. Please watch that, even if you don't record it (although, I'm sure we'd love to see your reaction!). Jeez, the first 7 minutes alone has some of the best animation you will EVER see.
