shes a cool character but the one thing that makes her a special earthbender is really not a skill she aquired from training she was literally just blind and it was almost second nature like breathing idk it kind of makes it less special

So ya, she has better than average hearing, but that's not what makes her a G. The vibrations in earth is what gives her the edge, and when there are rocks or boulders thrown at her, she can feel the person throwing them, but she can also just feel earth with her bending even if it's in the air. That's something most benders are capable of, simply being able to sense their element if it's nearby, she is just far more gifted at sensing earth because she doesn't rely on sight when fighting. Basically, if it's touching the ground, she uses vibrations to see it, and if there is earth moving through the air, she uses normal earth bending, not vibrations, to sense it. That's why that belt Sokka threw at her still hit her in the head. She could sense him throw it through the vibrations of Appa and Sokka's body, but since the belt wasn't made of earth, she couldn't tell where it was going to land. She is incredibly strong, potentially the most naturally gifted person in this show, but her incredible strength has unique weaknesses. She can sense when a water or fire bender moves, but that doesn't mean she can feel the water or fire precisely, so she usually always relies on counter-attacks unless she has the upper hand from the start.
