One thing to take away about the bending was how committed to detail the creators were, the bending all had its own stances and style in order to be used properly. Aang is naturally gifted not because he's the avatar but because he has already mastered a bending style and the act of using a stance (especially because the water and air styles are similar) is familiar to him. It's a bit like being bilingual, the basics are gonna be easier for him. Particularly so for air-to-water learning for the above reasons.

People have been wanting a game based on this show or something that feels similar since this show came out. I have wanted that since the show came out. Ive wanted it for so long in fact that I've spent the last 4 years designing that exact game you're imagining, and I have well over a thousand pages written for exactly how it should work, and how to avoid all the pitfalls most studios run into when attempting anything remotely similar to this.
