We've spent a good chunk of January trying to figure out the best way to produce perforated postage stamps to streamline the promotional and culture-centric postage element of the project. Previously, as some may remember, we relied on a sewing machine to punch lines of holes into sheets of printed stamps. This method was very time consuming, and although it produced very realistic stamps, just didn't quite meet my desired end result.

After talking to numerous paper perforation companies in the U.S., I've finally given up on the idea of ordering pre-perforated paper in bulk. People just don't seem to produce perforated paper with stamp-size holes anymore. Thank goodness there was also a futuristic option left. We spent an entire afternoon this weekend at a laser-cutting work space called Laser Cutter Cafe, and in the end, the people there helped us produce an amazing looking sheet of perforated stamps!

In terms of other backend things, we are working on another major map update. In the future, I'd like to include map update logs on Patreon, instead of keeping them only on Discord. Be on the lookout for a post next week on all the major map/lore changes for this month.

We're also hard at work at doing some redesigns for the website, and coding an interactive map element for the website that will allow people to better explore and appreciate the depth of data baked into the project.

As part of my new year's visioning and goal setting, I'm also cooking up something new for YouTube, making project merch, and have planned out several fun feature maps set for the upcoming months.

Lastly, my partner has helped me get generally active on social media, running Instagram, a main Twitter, and a short-story spin-off account,  so do follow if you haven't already.
