Should we trust Light Hope and The First Ones?!!

Also, I know that Entrapta is curious about technology but can't she see she is destroying the world?!

Catra taking down her abuser is such a satisfying moment. Especially with how far the abuse is implied to have gone: "I've learned everything from you. How to predict where you'll strike, how to dodge, how to resist. You thought you were punishing me all this time." Thats a really dark line if you think about it. And it explains why Catra already knew the Horde was evil back in the second episode: what else could it be if she was being abused like this, and by the Horde's second-in-command no less? In fact, this kinda puts Adora in a bad light, because how could Adora not know the Horde is evil if she knew her best friend was being abused so heavily? From Catra's perspective, it seems as if Adora was fine with staying in the Horde while knowing Catra was being abused, but the moment Adora sees random civilians being hurt, Adora decides to leave. To Catra, it looked as if Adora cared more about random civilians than she cared about Catra.

I disagree that that puts Adora in a bad light -sure Adora must have known/felt that her upbringing was harsh, but it's not like she knew there was an alternate way to live. In the very first episode Adora is literally convinced (brainwashed) by the Horde, that the princesses are alike to monsters, who are incredibly evil. She might not have liked to be abused, or to see Catra hurt by Shadow Weaver, but she thought the Rebellion was a thousand times worse and more evil - so of course she first leaves when she realizes that the Rebellion are the good guys.
