Ok I know you said you don't need to know but just in case you're curious lol I'll try to explain...The Bobcats originally wanted to draft a "center" (certain position in basketball) but that didn't work out so they ended up signing Derek McDaniel, who I believe plays the same position as Nathan – "point guard". When Clay found out Joe Turner's mom was sick, he went to negotiate with the Bobcats manager (when Quinn was dancing). He managed to get the Bobcats manager to enter a deal with him in which the Sacramento Kings (a different NBA team out in California) would acquire both Nathan and Joe Turner, and then the Kings would trade both of them for Derek McDaniel. So McDaniel would play for the Kings, and Nathan and Joe would play for the Bobcats. This works out for the Bobcats team because they would still have a good point guard (it would be Nathan instead of McDaniel), and they would have Joe Turner for the center position (and they originally wanted to draft for that position). That is why the deal worked out and that is why Nathan is able to play for the Bobcats again. Sorry this was extremely long, and if anything is incorrect someone please lmk 😂

My top characters at this point in the series... 1. Brooke 2. Nathan 3. Haley and Julain. They're tied for me. 4. Dan 5. Jake Love me some Hilarie Burton, but Peyton was pretty frustrating for me more often than not, lol. Lucas doesn't even get a shout out.

Julian's story about his mom...wow. It explains so much about his motivations. I love how they give his character so much depth! Also his speech to Alex about death not being romantic was so moving!

The soap scene with Jamie lol🤣 Quinn was so cute in this episode! This is when I really started to love Quinn and Clay! I love Julian so much. His dialogue to her “there’s nothing special or romantic about death” was so moving. Dan’s speech was really moving as well. One of my fav scenes of his. Also, Jamie saying he forgives him is such a great moment. “Just look at her” : me every time I see Sophia Bush lol Soo excited for the 2nd half of this season reactions! Some of my favorite stuff OTH has done :)

my top ten: Brooke (such a big role model for me and her development and success is unmatched) Nathan (an amazing father and brother, he became a guy we never thought he'd be from the first time we've seen him.) Haley (she's strong and the advice she gives to brooke, nathan, lucas and peyton also sticks with me because in general the words from this series I've wrote them down years ago and read it every time i need something to push me forward and a lot of haley's words are there) Peyton (cuz i personally relate and have the same music taste, similar personality and I also sketch my life. And the similar love problem but I've never did what she has done with brooke/lucas) Clay (fell in love with him from the start and i love his storylines and how much he cares for nathan, haley and jamie and he just makes me smile) Skills (underrated and doesn't sugarcoat the truth and hilarious) Dan (overall an amazing character and arch with the whole series and actor is amazing) Whitey (underrated, always has a place in my heart and his advice, the way he was like a father to the team and never gave up on lucas and nathan) Lucas (he's an OG and yes he is a pain but I can't forget lucas and I have his book and his words help me go through a lot as well) Quinn (she's a dork and her storylines are interesting and intense and i love her and clay)

I love your pov on Mouth and Millie, even though I disagree haha I think Millie was the one constantly saying that Mouth can't help her and that she has to do this on her own. And I think that is true and the right choice. But it wasn't like Mouth decided by himself to walk away from her. She wanted that too.

I love all the little moments happening in the background of this episode, like Quinn and the cow, and Grubbs taking the tomato off his shirt and putting it in his drink which I think was a Bloody Mary. And Rachel really should’ve cashed that check Dan tried to give her. I do think he should’ve left her at least a little bit of money to live on. I know she’s kind of terrible sometimes, but I feel bad for Rachel. I really like her character and I wish she could finally grow into the person that she started to become at the end of season 4. My top 10 at this moment in the show: 1. Brooke (Obviously. I’m ride or die for Brooke Penelope Davis.) 2. Peyton (She was a fantastic character and her absence from the show is still felt.) 3. Julian (he’s just adorable, and his backstory breaks my heart.) 4. Alex (After we see that she’s a jerk because she’s so insecure and has so many issues I really started to love her. Kind of like Nathan in season one.) 5. Nathan (he’d usually rank much higher but the last handful of episodes and how he handled everything with Clay and Quinn bumped him down a lot.) 6. Quinn (I always felt bad for Quinn because it seems like nobody except Clay tries to see her side of anything, especially her divorcing her husband.) 7. Clay (another tragic backstory that just makes me feel for him.) 8. Haley (Before this season Haley would’ve been as high as 3 or 4, but I really have disliked the way she’s been dealing with Quinn and acting so superior.) 9. Lucas (I can’t put him any higher than this because I spent practically every other season disliking him. When he was in a good place, he was great, but whenever he fell, he was always the absolute worst.) 10. Bevin (She will always be a favorite, even if she barely got any screen time. She deserved so much more.) After writing this, I really feel like the residents of Tree Hill need a support group.

This episode is so good! But then again, which episode of oth isn't?? Quinn stole my heart this episode. It's been years and years since I watched this show for the first time, so I don't remember exactly how I reacted to it, but I'm pretty sure it was at this point where I really started to like her. Your reaction to Quinn and the cow was just as epic and hilarious as the scene itself. Dan's speech was so powerful. After what we've seen so far I have such a hate/love relationship with him. He's such a complex character and has so many layers. And even after all the horrible things he's done a part of me will always love him.
