loved this sm!! to clarify: yes Lucy from the future came back and at some point gave Flynn her diary which sent him after Rittenhouse. Rittenhouse (as Flynn said in this episode) killed his family, which is why he wants to destroy them.

Oh so I was right! I'm glad I'm understanding the story. This show is soooooo good. The possibility of paradoxes and causing more damage to history is so interesting. I am loving it so far!

yes, you were right! the why and how will be revealed later on, but you got the jist of it: Flynn got the diary because Lucy went back in time to give it to him and set this whole thing in motion. that's why Flynn knows so much about Rittenhouse too. Lucy is (at the moment) very set on keeping history as it is, whereas Wyatt and Rufus are much more flexible and willing to do what's necessary. Both are not right or wrong, it's a very difficult situation. I'm glad you understood that so well. Are some changes in the past worth risking the present? And if so, which ones?

I thought, when I first watched this, that Flynn was from the future and that's how he got her diary.
