A thrill ride! This movie was everything I’d hoped it would be.

I walked out of the theater satisfied, but a bit shaken the first time I saw this movie. Even though to date I have never actually seen one, I have had recurring dreams about tornadoes all my life, no doubt fueled by my multiple childhood viewings of The Wizard of Oz. When watching this movie, I was seeing EXACT representations of those dreams on the big screen, most notably the scene of Jonas' ultimate fate. It blew my mind way beyond my enjoyment of a silly, unbelievable film that still manages to be incredibly entertaining. The FX were groundbreaking at the time...in a sense it was Jurassic Park with tornadoes!

I was thinking throughout it reminded me of Jurassic park more than anything else. I don’t think I vocalized it because it felt like an odd comparison lol. Sounds like you had such an interesting experience. I’ve also never seen a real life Tornando. I don’t know what I’d do.

"This is so stupid! Let's GO!" is my favorite kind of movie reaction. Most of us who saw it in theaters, for a while after, would occasionally and for no reason say "Cow." and someone else would say "Another cow," and you'd say "Actually I think that was the same one" and it was fun little shared joke. (I still do this today and people still reply.)
