This was a great setup to season 3. We got a glimpse at what all the main characters have been up to, the mostly sad state of morale and in some cases morals. Yet we got a nice shot of hope towards the end as well! I can’t wait to see where things go this season.

One neat little bit of psychology on the audience here: Jamie Bamber didn't actually gain that much weight and is wearing padding under his clothes. And if that's all we saw, it could very well come off as silly and obviously fake. But in our first scene with him, they throw in that chest-down shot of an actual overweight guy in a towel, which is just enough to span our mental connection to Bamber's appearance and make it more acceptable.

So much "ick" in some of these episodes. Questions of morality make for really good television.

Agreed, Kevin! There are definitely those who don't think so and those who get upset that I'm questioning something instead of having locked in their opinion, but that's the point for me. The journey and the uncertainty are part of the fun.
